To qualify, applicants/residents must be:
• A U.S. citizen, or Legally admitted for permanent residence.
• Receive a substantial portion (65%) of their income as a domestic farm laborer on farms in the
United States, Puerto Rico, or the Virgin Islands.
• Applicants cannot be self-employed in farm work.

A domestic farm laborer:
• A person who performs “Farm Labor” on a farm or works for an employer performing duties related
to agriculture or aquiculture. Examples include:
 Soil cultivating
 Raising or harvesting any agriculture commodity or
 Catching, netting, handling, planting, drying, packing, grading, or storing a commodity in its
unmanufactured state, if the commodity is produced by the farm operator.
 Delivering to storage, market, or a carrier for transportation to market or, processing worker to
qualify for farm labor housing.

• Persona que realiza “Labores Agrícolas” en una granja o trabaja para un empleador realizando
tareas relacionadas con la agricultura o la acuicultura. Algunos ejemplos son
 Cultivo del suelo
 Criar o cosechar cualquier producto agrícola o
 Capturar, enmallar, manipular, plantar, secar, empaquetar, clasificar o almacenar un

Retired or disabled farm workers may qualify. These individuals must be at least 55 years old and
must have spent the last five years prior to retirement as a domestic farm worker m: the majority of
their last ten (10) years prior to retirement as a domestic farm worker to qualify for farm labor
housing.
Los trabajadores agrícolas jubilados o discapacitados pueden optar a esta ayuda. Estas personas
