HDC MidAtlantic Welcomes Sam Jordan as New Chief Financial Officer

HDC MidAtlantic is pleased to announce the appointment of Sam Jordan as the organization’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). With over 15 years of experience in financial management and real estate, Jordan brings a depth of expertise and leadership to the role. His career includes positions such as Director of Finance at Solve IT Solutions, Controller at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, and Vice President of Commercial Lending at S&T Bank.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Jordan is actively involved in the Lancaster County community. He has served on the boards of several organizations, including the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsman, the American Red Cross Central PA, the Lancaster City Alliance, and the Community Action Partnership. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the EDC Finance Company.

As CFO, Jordan joins HDC’s Executive Leadership Team and will lead the organization’s financial strategy and operations. His responsibilities include overseeing resource management, financial planning and analysis, liquidity management, and accounting practices—all critical to ensuring HDC’s long-term sustainability and financial health.

“There are three basic human needs: food, water, shelter,” said Jordan. “Anything I can do to lend my financial expertise to help address one of these needs for those who need it most is extremely important to me. I’m excited to contribute to HDC’s mission in this way.”

A North Carolina native, Jordan has called Lancaster home since 2009. He is deeply rooted in the community, where he lives with his wife and two daughters. He’s also an active coach for his daughters’ basketball team and a dedicated runner, logging 8–10 miles daily.

Dana Hanchin, President and CEO of HDC MidAtlantic, shared her enthusiasm about Jordan’s appointment:
“We are thrilled to welcome Sam as our new CFO. His proven financial acumen, extensive real estate background, strategic thinking, and deep commitment to the Lancaster County community make him an ideal fit for this role. Sam’s growth mindset and passion for excellence will be invaluable assets, and we are excited to have him join the Executive Leadership team at HDC.”

To identify the right candidate for this pivotal role, HDC partnered with BroadView Talent Partners, a national executive search firm specializing in placing top leadership in the nonprofit, community development, and affordable housing sectors.

“Hiring for mission-driven organizations like HDC requires a thoughtful, strategic approach to talent acquisition—one that ensures alignment not only in skills but also in values and passion for community impact,” said Tracy McMillan, CEO and Managing Partner of BroadView Talent Partners.

McMillan added, “Sam’s extensive leadership, financial management, and real estate expertise, combined with his deep commitment to addressing affordable housing and homelessness in Lancaster County, make him an exceptional fit for this role. We are confident that Sam will be instrumental in advancing HDC’s mission and making a lasting difference in the communities it serves.”
